It all started when his older brother bought the Deep Purple album '24 Carat Purple' with Ian Paice on drums. As a result of this initial experience, playing the drums became Martijn's deepest passion. Not remaining unnoticed...

Martijn played shows ranging from small clubs to well known festivals like Huntenpop, Varselder (2002/2006) - Headwayfestival, Amstelveen - Valkhof Affaire, Nijmegen - The International Nijmegen Four Days Marches
and ProgPower Europe, Baarlo - sharing bills with bands like Devin Townsend, Pain of Salvation, Anathema, DiRect, Dreadlock Pussy, Within Temptation and The Gathering. And of course all well know (Dutch) venues like Boerderij, Zoetermeer - Melkweg (Milky Way), Amsterdam - Oosterpoort, Groningen - Paard van Troje, Den Haag - Effenaar, Eindhoven - De Kade, Zaandam - Biebob, Vosselaar (BE) - Hof ter Loo, Antwerpen (BE) - Zentrum Altenberg,
